Dr. Edgar C. Harrell, also known as Hardy, Ph. D. is a Managing Partner at Harrell Capital Partners. Dr. Harrell is an economist and business leader. Dr. Harrell has held senior managerial positions with a number of private firms and agencies, including the U.S. Department of State, the Agency for International Development, and Price Waterhouse. Dr. Harrell serves as a board member of Maryland Health Care Product Development Corporation. He serves as the Chair of the Advisory Board of Center of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at University of Baltimore. He serves on several boards, including the Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Central and Northern Pennsylvania, The Penn State Research Foundation, Penn Venture Partners, the Ben Franklin Technology Development Authority, DFR Solutions, and others. He has more than 30 years of experience in managing public and private programs in entrepreneurial training, technology commercialization, investment and capital market development. Dr. Harrell holds a B.S. degree in Chemistry from Dickinson College, a Doctorate in Economics from Columbia University, and a certificate from the East Asian Institute in Japanese studies, also from Columbia. He attended the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.
