INTAG Systems Announces RFI for Applied Sciences Campus in Pennsylvania

Integrated Agricultural Systems, Inc. (INTAG Systems) is seeking input from prospective vendors and partners in the Food, Agriculture, Renewable Resources, and Environmental Science sectors. The Request for Information, on behalf of a confidential educational institution, is soliciting responses from businesses and like-minded organizations in all aspects of the Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) disciplines. The purpose is to inform the development of an applied sciences and technology demonstration campus in Pennsylvania.

Views and insights about the future needs of agriculture that are gathered through the RFI process will be used to develop the new campus and facilities. Building blocks of the project will include research labs, CEA facilities that showcase current best practices, and an experimental facility devoted to the integration of emerging technologies for research, new technology development and demonstration, and field experimentation.

Has the site been selected? No. Several locations are under active review and consideration. Final site selection is expected to take place in 2020.

What is the timeline to establish the new campus? This is a long term project in the early stages of development. Broadly speaking, we expect to be gathering information and engaging in further research for the balance of 2019 and to begin site selection and development of a national campus plan in 2020.

What is the total budget for the project? To be determined. This information-gathering phase will be critical to shaping the size and scope of the final plan. It is expected that funding for the new campus will be a mix of public and private resources.

Who is behind the project? INTAG has been selected on behalf of a confidential client in the higher education field that has an established presence in Pennsylvania. For the time being, the organization wishes to remain anonymous.

Are responses limited to the sectors and industries listed in the press release? No. We welcome input from all interested parties around the world.
